As a former Monmouth County resident, as well as a former Lucent employee, I would hate to see this irreplaceable piece of history destroyed.

How can a landmark commemorating the discovery of the century (if not more) be considered for removal? We have apparently lost all sense of perspective and awe of this immense discovery.

Holmdel has an amazing history - this is an integral part of it. The fact that not more is made of this boggles my mind. This is the location and the equipment that picked up the data that proved the big bang theory. This is something to be celebrated and preserved. In any other country this would be preserved - and there would be guides to it and such like. it would be a national monument. If this is let go of to make way for - well, HOUSING? Because Holmdel doesn't have enough houses? This needs to be preserved at all costs
